On April 24th, 2012 the Parrsboro Warriors, NSSAF Division 4 Senior Girls Soccer Team was presented with the Barry Wood Memorial Outstanding Achievement Award for placing 2nd in the 2011/2012 Provincial Championship.  We were very honoured to have Barry's father, Owen Wood attend the presentation.  Congratulations to the team, parents and coaches for a job well done!

 

Mayor Smith presents Ed Gilbert with his Volunteer Certificate

On March 20th, 2012 at Coffee with the Mayor, Ed Gilbert was honoured as the Town's Volunteer Representative of the Year.  Ed was nominated for his exemplary volunteer work with many area organizations including the Parrsborough Shore Historical Society, Parrsboro Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and Trinity United Church.  Congratulations Ed and many thanks for your commitment to the Town.

On Friday, January 22nd, 2010 Shirley Robinson was presented with a cut-glass sculpture in recognition of the many contributions made to Cumberland County and the Town of Parrsboro by her late husband and former Mayor, Doug Robinson.  On hand for the presentation were Mayor Lloyd Jenkins of Oxford, Warden Keith Hunter of the Municipality of the County of Cumberland, Deputy Mayor Terry Rhindress of Amherst, Mayor Allan Dill of Springhill and Mayor Lois Smith of Parrsboro.
